Once, plants and animals lived in harmony… until humans came to power, unable to coexist with nature, destroying and exploiting both the flora and fauna without a second thought. Now the world has become a barren desert. Witches have the power to speak to nature and, blamed for the disappearance of plant life and fearful of humanity, they hide in secret sanctuaries filled with greenery.

Pili, a young apprentice witch, begins her journey accompanied by the wolf Oak. However, she is not accustomed to the outside world and long journeys. Exhaustion overtakes her, and she is injured falling down a rocky slope! Luckily, Bowei, a boy, finds Pili and takes her to his home to care for her.

The arrival of the foreign girl raises suspicions among the other villagers, who quickly realize her true nature as a witch. All captured witches share the fate of execution!
