This book primarily aims, following the synthesis and presentation of a multitude of archival documents that the author unearthed from the obscurity of the Military Archives Service (ΥΣΑ), to shed light on unknown events and incidents that remained in the shadows, while also making known the confrontations and disputes among military personnel, organizations, and armed factions, whether resistance or not, during the Occupation in the sensitive region of Macedonia.
Its goal is to contribute to the clarification - as much as possible - of an era filled with dynamic rivalry and the birth and maturation of passions, which later significantly affected professional officers as well.
Additionally, it also addresses the conduct, ethics, and dignity, or lack thereof, of the officers during the Occupation, as well as the way in which a number of them were integrated into ELAS due to their various reservations.
