Attention to those who want to blind buy it.

Clean, fresh scent, it’s ok for everyday use at work in an office, etc. It doesn’t shout on you, it’s relatively discreet, gives a sense of freshness and cleanliness. After a little while, you’ll have to smell your wrist to realize you’re wearing it. It tends towards unisex; a woman could easily wear it too.

Beyond that, there is a strong herbal presence, something between basil and eucalyptus (?), like you cut a tree leaf in spring when they bloom and brought it close to your nose. The herb is very acidic and resinous.
For those who don’t like the presence of flowers and herbs in their perfume like me, it will seem like an ok mid-range scent.

I don’t think its profile justifies its price. Somewhere around 40-50 euros would be more value. It doesn’t enchant you so that you’d say you want this to be your morning signature.

It’s one of those mediocre perfumes where you’d say you wouldn’t pay money to buy it if you had tried it beforehand, but on the other hand, if it somehow came into your hands as a gift for example, you’d wear it occasionally until it’s finished, it’s not that bothersome.
In any case, try it before you buy it.
Update: From 3 stars to 1 because after 5 hours it disappeared completely from the skin. It is detected very lightly on clothing.

One of the best vetiver implementations (at this price range) along with the now classic Guerlain Vetiver. These two do not resemble each other, I’m just referring to the execution of such an ambiguous oil. This fragrance, by my standards, is an epic of freshness and cleanliness. I can easily see it working on a woman as well, even though in my opinion it is more masculine. It has that masculine DNA like Explorer, only here we have basil instead of sage and an almost complete lack of citrus. I say "almost" because the only note that somewhat resembles citrus (my nose detects grapefruit) comes from the distinctive timut pepper. The quality of the oils in Bois Imperial is at a high level and it forges its own path thanks to the basil and the remarkable woods that compose it (Akigalawood and Georgywood). However, once we are well into the dry down (after 2-3 hours), the feeling is not as nice as it was initially, as the middle notes of freshness and coolness start to fade and patchouli, vetiver, and abroxan come to the fore. This results in the fragrance becoming "heavier," acquiring a metallic nuance that might bother some people around you who are sensitive to such scents. After 6 hours, this metallic sensation softens somewhat and a balance gradually returns, lasting until the scent fades away.

The price is very reasonable for what you get in terms of quality and longevity. And its longevity is great. After 8 - 10 hours, it is still easily noticeable with every movement. So, you need to be a bit careful with the sprays, especially on clothes.

Overall, it is a distinctive fragrance for particular noses. I deduct a star for the reason I mentioned regarding the dry down, which also reveals the weakness in blending in this specific fragrance.

WARNING, it is not for a blind buy, especially if you do not like vetiver. My wife says it smells like insecticide to her after 2 hours. Definitely test it before buying.
