Description

Description

The phase change material on which the PhaseSheet PTM is based is solid at room temperature. The material begins to liquefy only at temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius.

High contact pressure of approximately 300-400N is required for optimal distribution of the liquid PhaseSheet PTM and thus the smallest possible layer thickness.

The PhaseSheet PTM has very low viscosity in its liquid state and contracts again when it turns into solid material, thus minimizing the pump-out effect.

The pump-out effect is particularly pronounced when a copper cooler is combined with a graphics chip, because silicon and copper have different linear expansion when heated.

Temperatures under load cause the heat sink and base plate to deform (concave or convex) and return to their original shape (straight) when cooled.

As a result, the thermal paste is slowly squeezed between the heatspreader and the base plate of the CPU cooler.

A good, high-quality thermal paste alternative; it turned out to be just what I needed for servicing my video card. Easy-to-use

I bought it for the RTX 4090; after 3 years of use, the factory paste had started to show severe pump-out, to the point where I was getting 80+C. I decided to try PTM instead of using regular paste.
The application requires care because the sheet is very thin and tears easily. I put it in the fridge for a little while before cutting it. The temperatures are the same as when the card was new, 70C and 60C with a -30% power target, but now it will no longer suffer the same problem that the paste had.

I used it on a HP omen 16 transcend laptop (2023) that was sitting closed in it box for 2 years. When I started using it for the first time it was hitting idle temps 80c after opening the laptop to clean it after a year and removing the heatsink I saw that most of the thermal paste they put in the factory had fallen off the CPU and GPU die , that explains my thermal issues. after using this product both on the CPU die and GPU die , the hotspot temps on the GPU never exceed 75c and the CPU on normal gaming does go above 88c where before it would go to 100c and throttle. in short I fixed thermal throttling and made the laptop a lot cooler, I also did a benchmark on cinebench R23 went from 13000 points to 21000 points. final note for this product to take maximum effect you need to wait for at least 3 thermal cycles but even on the first boot I saw a huge difference.

Repasted on a 6700xt that was hitting 115 hotspot for fun, now it goes up to 90 C.
