I suffer from plantar fasciitis and while the Kayano 29 I had did not cause me any discomfort when walking or running, unfortunately this particular model does...

They are only for walking. No relation to the old Kayano. They don't provide good movement for fast walking or jogging

I have had them for 4 months and I ran a 10 km race. They are very light and comfortable and they "fit" very nicely on the foot. Their use is mainly for running on a gym treadmill, track at the stadium, and asphalt

Whatever you write about this shoe is not enough. I always buy it on sale because €200 is a lot. Due to overpronation, this is the only one I buy.

Unacceptable, shoes of this price to tear just from walking on their own. They were thrown away after a few months, since they became unusable! I would never buy them again! Stay away, money wasted!

Fan of the Kayano series, from 25 to 27 and from 30 to 31. So satisfied that I bought a second pair (besides all the other positives, they also have beautiful color combinations). Used exclusively for running, marathon training, they don't hurt at all after long runs, they are durable and the fit on the foot (for those of us with flat feet) is perfect. Compared to the 30s, they might be a bit wider in the toe area, but nothing major. In any case, the slightly narrow Asics fit remains, so choose one size up from your "normal" size.

At first they hurt my feet but now they are ok, they are the most comfortable I've ever worn and probably the best shoes I've bought. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. I work 10 hours every day, I go to the gym and I don't feel anything, no shocks, nor do my feet hurt from standing. It takes a little time to get used to them but once you do, you won't leave them for anything

Due to severe flat feet combined with a large shoe size anyway, these are the only ones that suit my husband. He uses them daily for work, which requires about 10 hours (or even more) of standing and movement.

ASICS Gel-Kayano 31 – The reliability you need when you have a history of injury

I have mild overpronation

The Kayano 31 is the first shoe in which I truly felt safe and comfortable with every step. I got it in size 47 (30.5 cm) and from the very first 7-kilometer workout I didn’t feel even the slightest discomfort — something that hadn’t happened with other shoes (e.g. Hoka Mach X 2 or Skyflow, which caused irritation in my shin and ankle).

The stability in the midsole, the rich foam, and the overall "hold" of the shoe make the difference, especially when you step slightly inward. It’s ideal for long runs, easy runs, and recovery training. Its weight doesn’t bother the feel at all and it offers confidence.

If you have a knee history, step a little inward, and want a shoe for, say, marathon preparation, I think it’s one of the best options out there.

They are quite comfortable and supportive, but I probably prefer the Nimbus series. They might need a few more steps (I've done a little walking) to adapt to my foot

unfortunately, once again I was disappointed
Compared always to the Sketchers Advance 4, which when I wore them I felt like I was stepping on foam, here I didn't find what I wanted
1) they are a narrow fit, just barely fitting my foot
2) they are neither light nor comfortable
3) excessively high price (especially for my size, where the lowest price I found was €165). The Sketchers currently cost €65
The review concerns the work I do and wearing them 24 hours. I have no opinion about running

After 2 months:
I was truly disappointed, they are not worth it. After 2 months of wearing them at work, my soles started burning and my feet started hurting
I started putting on my old Sketchers after the 8-hour shift, which even now are more comfortable on my feet

Excellent for wide feet and overpronation, it supports quite well and offers stability in walking. The sole is sufficiently shock-absorbing. The previous model had a sensitivity at the point where the big toe touched, it would wear through there after a few months; this one hasn't been worn enough for me to compare.

The shoe is simply amazing. It saved me from a chronic flatfoot problem in the front part of my foot, which was painful and had a burning sensation after a little while of walking. I have tried almost all the shoes from all the brands in the past, but this one, only, solved my problem. Also, after this shoe, you won't be able to wear any other.

The only issue... It has a narrow fit and you need one size up from the size you wear in other athletic shoes.

First time with ASICS (coming from NIKE and Adidas all my life) and I think I will prefer this brand again.
1) Quite good material quality.
2) Wide enough in the front so that the toes don’t rub.
3) FANTASTIC fit at the forefoot, comfortable without pressing/paining and quite snug around the ankle.
4) Excellent sole, without peculiarities like HOKA / UA etc.
Usage only on gym carpet for running etc. No fatigue and any sweat dries immediately.
