The "Fundamentals of Maxillofacial Surgery" includes everything necessary for the conditions, diagnoses, and rough treatments of fractures of the visceral skull, oral cavity cancer, melanoma, odontogenic tumors, tumors of the jaws and soft tissues, both benign and malignant in the maxillofacial area.
The text, useful for undergraduate students, also concerns doctors and dentists who would like to engage in the specialty of maxillofacial surgery. The texts are based on current literature, the oral tradition of Professor Konstantinos Vachtsevanos, and the long-term experience in treating patients at the University Clinic of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the General Hospital of Thessaloniki "G. Papanikolaou".
The photographic material also comes from cases of the authors and from patients of the clinic. The "summaries" at the beginning of each chapter and the "points of attention" assist in memorizing knowledge where required.
