Way of the Hunter: Wild Expeditions for PS5 offers a hunting experience in the open environments of North America and Europe. It includes the Standard Edition of the base game, the Hunter’s Pack, UTVs, and the Aurora Shores, Tikamoon Plains, Matariki Park and Lintukoto Reserve locations. Features include co-op, free hunt and a story about a family hunting business.

The large Pacific Northwest and Transylvania maps each cover 144 km² and can be explored by vehicle or on foot. Animals display natural group behaviours and react to the player’s presence, while ecosystems change depending on the player’s actions. Hunter Sense highlights important details but can be disabled, and the HUD can be customised.

The simulation features realistic ballistics and projectile physics, blood-trail analysis and shot review using a scrolling bullet camera. The trophy system generates unique antlers and horns, taking into account factors such as the animal’s physical condition and age. The day-night cycle lasts 24 hours, with changing wind and weather.
