Although it is a thermos, I have not tested its ability to maintain the temperature of its contents. Its exterior is a soft, somewhat rubbery material, which on one hand makes it pleasant to the touch and non-slip, but on the other hand makes it difficult to place in small pockets due to the friction it creates.
