Description

The Modern Era publishes for the first time in Greek a text by V. M. Molotov, a leading figure of the Bolshevik Party, to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) in 1965. The published text includes a large part of Molotov's letter.

An important archival material for the course of Socialism during the critical decades of the 1950s and 1960s in the USSR. This is a document that, as the reader will find, deals with theoretical and political issues of timeless significance, which constituted the core of the struggle within the ranks of the communist movement up to its peak with the counter-revolutionary upheavals during the period of 1989-1991.

The preface of the publication is curated by the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the KKE (Communist Party of Greece). The publication contains the defense of the Marxist-Leninist teaching on the state against the proclamations of a "people's state" and "people's party," criticism of "peaceful coexistence" and "peaceful economic competition between states with opposing social systems," issues regarding the inevitable character of war in imperialism and the escalating contradictions between socialism and imperialism throughout History.

Finally, the Marxist-Leninist principles of the socialist revolution and the issues of directing the socialist economy are outlined: Regarding the restructuring of industrial management, the new way of planning production, as well as the agricultural economy.
