Description

Discover the "Power of Three" in its most advanced form. Tullamore D.E.W. 12 Year Old Special Reserve is an award-winning Irish whiskey that combines the complexity of aging with the legendary smoothness of triple distillation.

Why Tullamore 12 is an essential addition to your collection:

  • Triple Distilled, Triple Blended: A rare blend of all three types of Irish whiskey (Pot Still, Malt, and Grain). Triple distillation ensures maximum smoothness, while the blend offers depth and character.
  • Matured in Two Types of Barrels: Patiently aged for 12 to 15 years in Bourbon and Sherry Oloroso barrels. The Bourbon imparts notes of vanilla and honey, while the Sherry adds the richness of dried fruits and spices.
  • Velvety Texture: Despite its aging, it remains exceptionally smooth on the palate, making it ideal for both experienced whiskey enthusiasts and those just beginning their journey.
  • Multi-layered Aroma: A "garden" of aromas starting from strawberry jam and ending with dark chocolate and roasted walnut.

Your Flavorful Journey:

  • Nose: Rich and sweet. Cream, sultana, melted biscuits and honey, with a subtle note of flaxseed.
  • Palate: Soft and creamy. Sweet spices (nutmeg, allspice) dominate, balanced with forest fruits and honey yogurt.
  • Finish: Medium length, rich and warm, with notes of chocolate, walnut, and bittersweet oak.

  • Because I drink ONLY IRISH, this is one of the best cheap ones available (top is Black Barrel of course, followed by this and Black Bush for me...)

Very nice taste and aftertaste and excellent aroma. I think it is a very good choice for the money for lovers of Irish drinks. I believe it easily becomes the first choice compared to the regular one as there is not much difference in price, but the quality is much superior.

Being a big fan of Irish whiskey, the Tullamore twelve wins you over from the first sip. Slightly more refined, aromatic, and sweet compared to the regular one, personally, I immediately noticed the fruits, the slightly spicier velvety body, and an indistinct note of dried fruits. Wonderful aroma in the glass, it gave me a hint of cinnamon. It will definitely remain unquestionably in my collection.

One of the most unique-quality-soft-aromatic whiskies at 35 euros and in my opinion the best of them, by far better than the simple one at 20 euros.! Next test is the 14-year-old and a review will be given.!!

Vanilla, chocolate, caramel, strawberry, apple... flowery. I tasted a velvety flavor, with a lingering aftertaste. Triple distilled. Delightful.

I am trying Tullamore 12 shots, alongside a Scottish 12-year-old single malt with a significantly higher price [no need to write which one now], which I did not buy randomly, it is an excellent whiskey, elegant and rich in flavors. However, I do not find that Tullamore 12 falls behind. Somehow, its intense shades, both on the nose and on the palate (almost bordering on being a bit rough or wild), make it very attractive, precisely because they balance where they should. Perhaps, in the end, the expensive ones are slightly overrated. The 12-year-old Tullamore is certainly much better than the regular one, which is not bad at all for its price, on the contrary. Since it seems that Tullamore suits me, I think the next one will be the 14-year-old single malt, and I hope my expectations are not disappointed. Tullamore 12 is highly recommended, and its price is quite good.

Characteristic example of quality Irish. The aroma may be the best among Irish. Only by approaching the glass, sweet scents come to the nose. After you drink it, it leaves a special aftertaste that you don't want to go away.

The one less star is because its taste is perhaps slightly sweeter than I would like. I would prefer it to be slightly "heavier".

Very good! It leaves a scent, a sweet taste with the also sweet oily burning due to aging. It goes without saying that it is without ice, although it is said that water releases its aromas, for me personally it is "sacrilege". It's worth it.

Together with Jameson Black Barrel and Monkey Shoulder, it is the best I have ever tasted for up to 35 euros. A wonderful blend consisting of aged single malt, single pot still, and grain, some of which reach up to 15 years of aging, with the majority being single malt and pot still. Its taste is influenced by ex-bourbon and ex-sherry barrels in which it has been aged, and it is full, sweet, and balanced whiskey with intense notes of dried fruits and nuts. It is highly recommended and worth every penny.

From the simple Tullamore emerges as you bring it to your mouth, the scent of roses and has a very pleasant, slightly sweet taste. However, this one also has the "depth". You can underestimate it because it seems light, but it's not. It gets you buzzed relatively quickly, but without wanting to break your head the next day. Theoretically, drinks are not aimed at a specific age. Tullamore won't be easily appreciated below the age of 35.
