Yamazaki is the first Japanese distillery, founded in 1923. The distillery is located in the village of Yamazaki, an area of dense bamboo groves at the foot of Mt. Tennozan outside Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan and a stronghold of traditional Japanese culture. 

Flavor Profile

The wood with the spices comes first. Then follows a constant mass of orange marmalade and a honey sweetness.

It matures in barrels made from three different types of oak: American, Spanish, and Japanese. This gives Suntory Whisky a unique quality.
