First contact with a Merrell shoe. I did about 150km at various paces and on different terrains.

Initially, I have to say it reminds me a lot of the Speedgoat from Hoka, but with better durability, so if someone has Hoka, it's worth trying these.

The shoe, in terms of materials, is very good. In the kilometers I did, the lugs have almost zero wear, only the surrounding material has some tears from rocks and stones. Its grip on these terrains is excellent, it has a rock plate and you really don't feel anything.

    Positives +

-Very good price for what it offers (There are offers even at €90).
    -Excellent durability.
-The Vibram sole grips excellently and hooks onto rocks, dirt, etc.
-Quite good breathability, just know it's not for summer with 30 degrees, it likes winter
    - rock plate for those who run on trails with stones, etc.

    Neutral

-The laces, due to their material, will often come undone, they need to be tied very tightly.
-The drop, the company states it's 6mm, personally it feels more than 8mm compared to others I wear.
-Because it's high, on terrain where you shift your weight a lot, with rocks, etc., it's not so stable. You feel a bit of insecurity.
-You can go fast, but I think its best is at a 6:00/km pace.

    Negatives -

-Due to the design or maybe the drop, I can't tell, it leaves a "gap" at the heel resulting in your foot slipping in and out. Unfortunately, I've read about this issue from quite a few people. Personally, I have somewhat solved it with a more reinforced sock. Don't try heel lock, the way the laces are designed it gets worse, as strange as it sounds.
