Description

Description

In the continuously changing landscape of interlingual communication, terminology and its management remain central. Specifically, the increase in the volume of digital terminological data and the need for correct usage, classification, and reuse make terminology management an integral component of any translation project, assigning terminology-related responsibilities to the professional translator.

The aim of this work is to present the management of terminology within the field of professional translation, viewed through the lens of training future translators. To this end, both theoretical and practical issues related to terminology management are developed equally, while a modern educational approach to this specific area of knowledge is proposed in academic settings.

In this sense, the book is aimed both at professionals in interlingual communication and at researchers in the fields of translation studies, terminology, and linguistics. It may also be useful to educators of translators and interpreters, who will find methodological principles and practical applications that are easily transferable to different educational environments.

However, it primarily addresses students in the departments of Foreign Languages and Philology, Intercultural Communication, or Translation, as it presents a detailed and systematic methodology for managing terminology, which can be utilized during practice in various thematic fields.
