- Probiotic blend (Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium lactis) protected with microencapsulation using Intelicaps® technology. Probiotic strains used to maintain the intestinal microflora and prevent intestinal disorders. These microorganisms are part of the normal intestinal microflora, and numerous studies have shown that their administration helps maintain proper intestinal function. Exposure to antibiotics and infections can cause dysbiosis, a disturbance in the balance of the intestinal microflora, with several gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhea. Probiotics can help restore the intestinal microflora and the negative symptoms of dysbiosis. Probiotics play an important role in maintaining immune balance in the gastrointestinal tract through direct interaction with immune cells. There is significant evidence that probiotics are effective for acute infectious diarrhea, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, functional gastrointestinal disorders, and necrotizing enterocolitis.
- Saccharomyces boulardii: The microorganism Saccharomyces boulardii is a yeast widely used as a probiotic in lyophilized form as it contributes to good intestinal health. Specifically, many studies have proven the effectiveness of S. boulardii in preventing as well as treating diarrhea of viral or bacterial origin, as well as diarrhea associated with antibiotic use in adults and children. S. boulardii is capable of degrading Clostridium difficile toxin, destroying endotoxins of pathogenic Escherichia coli, reducing the effects of cholera toxin, and inhibiting the growth of pathogenic microorganisms (such as Candida albicans, Salmonella typhimurium, Yersinia enterocolitica, Aeromonas haemolysin).
- Bacillus coagulans: Bacillus coagulans (Lactobacillus sporogenes) is a probiotic strain in spore form. Its resistant spore form allows it to survive stomach acids and reach the small intestine, where it colonizes and multiplies [10]. Once it reaches the small intestine, it produces L-lactic acid, the form that is more easily metabolized for glycogen synthesis by the body. In this way, colonization of the small intestine by B. coagulans prevents the invasion and growth of pathogenic species at the expense of the “good” bacteria that promote health within the digestive tract. Research shows that B. coagulans can help with diarrhea or constipation disorders, flatulence and bloating, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) [14], as well as support the immune system and help combat viral attacks. Taking it as a dietary supplement is effective in enhancing the T-lymphocyte response in certain viral respiratory infections.
- Vitamin C (Calcium ascorbate, Sodium ascorbate) Calcium ascorbate is a non-acidic form of vitamin C. It is suitable for people with gastrointestinal disorders, as research shows that its use causes significantly fewer epigastric side effects compared with ascorbic acid and is much better tolerated. Studies also suggest that calcium ascorbate is more easily absorbed and is excreted less rapidly than L-ascorbic acid. Sodium ascorbate is also a non-acidic form of vitamin C, as it is the sodium salt of ascorbic acid and is recommended for people with gastrointestinal disorders. Vitamin C contributes to the maintenance of the normal function of the immune and nervous systems as well as to normal collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, teeth and skin. It also contributes to the normal function of metabolic processes aimed at energy production, normal psychological function, the protection of cells from oxidative stress, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and increases iron absorption.
- Zinc (as Zinc picolinate) Zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system, normal metabolism of macronutrients, fatty acids and vitamin A, as well as the protection of cells from oxidative stress. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, teeth, hair, nails, skin, and to normal protein synthesis. The form of zinc used in Fortius Pro F.A.S.T. is zinc picolinate, as studies show that it is the most readily absorbable source of zinc.
Fortius Pro F.A.S.T. is a comprehensive dietary supplement that combines all the essential probiotic strains for maintaining and restoring the gut's microbial flora. Its specially designed formula includes vitamin C and zinc, two valuable ingredients that support the normal functioning of the immune system.
With the help of probiotics, Fortius Pro F.A.S.T. contributes to restoring the balance of intestinal flora, promoting the healthy functioning of the gastrointestinal system. Particularly useful during periods when intestinal flora may be disrupted due to antibiotics or other factors, this supplement enhances good gut health, aiding in nutrient absorption and boosting the immune system.
