  • After many comments, many videos and articles, I concluded that you need to invest in a good grinder if you want to drink good coffee. Initially I didn’t have such a high budget, but I don’t regret it. The positives are the fast grinding, without much noise and almost zero retention! (+/- 0.2 gr). Since I like to experiment with different varieties, I use it as a single dose grinder and I don’t fill the hopper with beans. However, if you find the grind time for a specific variety, you can set it consistently to how many seconds it takes to produce, for example, 18 grams of coffee. The only negative is that the portafilters I have (51 mm with dosing ring) do not fit on the provided base, but that’s a minor issue. You just hold it in your hand for 10 seconds. It needs many trials at the beginning, especially with each coffee variety you change. If the coffee runs too fast, it needs a finer grind, and vice versa. The adjustment dial should be turned while the machine is running and not while it is off, because damage will occur (especially toward the fine end). To help others with what I have tried, because I struggled a lot and wasted quite a few coffees until I found the right settings:
    -Mrs.Rose set to about 2.2
    -Ofellia Brazil at 2.4
    - 1985 by Lavazza El Ronero at 0.9
    -Ernani Cumbia Colombia at 0.9
-Monte Alegre Brazil Minais Gerais at 1.9
    -Lugat Rose Diamond at 1.4
    -Illy at 1.2
(My dial-in: 18 gr in - 36 out in 25-30 sec) Also, where it says 0 is not the actual 0 of the burrs. Mine goes a bit further toward the "minus". So the settings may vary depending on each machine’s zero point. I was helped a lot by YouTube and by reading articles and comments. Don’t get discouraged or annoyed. It’s difficult at first. Besides weight and extraction time, taste the coffee and make small adjustments. I hope I helped.

    UPDATE:
For Flair 58 it needs a very fine grind. Also, the 58mm bottomless portafilter does not sit well on the base.
Grinder settings, in case I help someone so they don’t waste many coffees. My dial-in is 19.4 grams in - 40 grams out in 30 sec.
    - Lavazza super crema at 0.4
    - 1985 by Lavazza El Ronero at 0
    - 1985 by Lavazza Cocoa Reloaded at 1.2
    - Ingagi Costa Rica Tarrazu at 0.5
    - Top Pellini at 0.7

So far, the grinder is very reliable. It stands out for its quiet operation and its almost 100% yield of ground coffee by weight from an equal weight of beans. Its compact weight and relatively limited size are advantages.

The adjustable portafilter holder does not fit a 51mm size, such as that of the DeLonghi Dedica. This feature was either not listed in the specifications or I did not notice it when purchasing. However, with a small hack, I secured an upside-down round jar lid there, so that a cup or small container can be placed inside to collect the ground coffee, which works perfectly for me.
