The Hoya ProND EX 64 filter is a neutral density filter that reduces the amount of light passing through the lens by 6 stops. ACCU-ND technology reduces visible light and the infrared spectrum equally, helping to prevent color shifts and maintain consistent image quality. For video, it allows you to set the shutter speed according to the frame rate, while for photography it enables longer exposures or a shallow depth of field in bright sunlight.
The filter has threads on both the front and rear, allowing additional ND filters to be attached in front of it, as well as a threaded lens cap or another filter. Using it to photograph moving subjects allows you to create motion blur.
