Nice fairy tale. We have all the Little Miss and Mr. Men books so we got this one too. I can't say if it achieves its purpose because for a child to believe in themselves is a matter for the child, not because a book says so. Simply, the example it gives us through the characters might spark a thought or provide some food for thought...
Ωραίο παραμύθι. Έχουμε όλους τους μικρούς κυρίους και κυρίες οπότε πήραμε κι αυτό. Δεν μπορώ να πω αν πετυχαίνει το σκοπό του γιατί το να πιστέψει ένα παιδί στον εαυτό του είναι θέμα παιδιού και όχι επειδή το λέει ένα βιβλίο. Απλά το παράδειγμα που μας λέει μέσω των ηρώων ίσως και να βάζει έναν σπινθήρα και τροφή για σκέψη...
Nice book series, my daughter's favorite, of course the stories are short but many of them have nice messages.

Although I don’t like children’s books in series, my kids really like the "Little Men-Little Miss" series... That’s why, along with other books we got from the bookstore, they also chose "The Little Men and the Best Christmas".
In Mrs. Uppity’s character, we see many people around us who think they’ll have a perfect Christmas only if they have the perfect tree, the perfect clothes, or the perfect food! But in this way, they miss the true meaning of Christmas...
Mrs. Uppity discovers the beauty in simple and inexpensive things she can do alone or with her friends... Especially the joy you feel when you share pleasant moments with people you love, even more so at Christmas, which is the celebration of love.
The small size of the book makes it suitable for little independent hands, even if they can’t read... They can still make up stories themselves by looking at the colorful sketches with simple lines and the unique shape!
A small, simple little book that touches on some serious topics like overconsumption, friendship, and loneliness, against the backdrop of Christmas. However, it does so in a brief and superficial way, without delving deeper or raising concerns.
For me, its text is overly simplistic... After so many "strong" books I’ve read with my kids, I feel we’re at a different reading level... This one, I’ll definitely give to a younger friend of ours...
Η κυρία Ψηλομύτα θέλει να περνάει τα πιο τέλεια Χριστούγεννα. Γι' αυτό από νωρίς παραγγέλνει όλα τα χριστουγεννιάτικα είδη στο καλύτερο κατάστημα της πόλης. Μία εβδομάδα πριν τις γιορτές ένα μεγάλο φορτηγό φέρνει στο σπίτι της την παραγγελία της. Φέτος όμως το φορτηγό δεν έφτασε έγκαιρα... Μάλλον τα Χριστούγεννά της καταστράφηκαν!
Αν και δεν μου αρέσουν τα παιδικά βιβλία σε σειρές, η σειρά "Μικροί κύριοι-Μικρές κυρίες" αρέσουν πολύ στα παιδάκια μου... Γι' αυτό, μαζί με άλλα βιβλία που πήραμε από το βιβλιοπωλείο, επέλεξαν και το "Οι μικροί κύριοι και τα καλύτερα Χριστούγεννα".
Στο πρόσωπο της κυρίας Ψηλομύτας βλέπουμε πολλούς συνανθρώπους μας, που νομίζουν ότι θα περάσουν τέλεια Χριστούγεννα, μόνο αν έχουν το τέλειο δέντρο, τα τέλεια ρούχα ή το τέλειο φαγητό! Έτσι όμως χάνουν το αληθινό νόημα των Χριστουγέννων...
Η κυρία Ψηλομύτα ανακαλύπτει την ομορφιά στα απλά κι ανέξοδα πράγματα που μπορεί να κάνει μόνη της ή με τους φίλους της... Κυρίως την χαρά που νιώθεις, όταν μοιράζεσαι ευχάριστες στιγμές με ανθρώπους που αγαπάς, πόσο μάλλον τα Χριστούγεννα, που είναι η γιορτή της αγάπης.
Το μικρό μέγεθος του βιβλίου, το κάνει κατάλληλο για μικρά ανεξάρτητα χεράκια, ακόμα κι αν δεν ξέρουν να διαβάζουν... Μπορούν όμως να φτιάξουν ιστορίες μόνα τους, παρατηρώντας τα πολύχρωμα σκίτσα με τις απλές γραμμές και το ιδιαίτερο σχήμα!
Ένα μικρό, απλό βιβλιαράκι που αγγίζει κάποια σοβαρά θέματα όπως η υπερκατανάλωση, η φιλία και η μοναξιά, με φόντο τα Χριστούγεννα. Γίνεται όμως με σύντομο κι επιφανειακό τρόπο, χωρίς να εμβαθύνει και να προβληματίζει.
Για εμένα, το κείμενό του είναι υπερβολικά απλοϊκό... Μετά από τόσα "δυνατά" βιβλία που έχω διαβάσει με τα παιδάκια μου, θεωρώ ότι βρισκόμαστε σε άλλο επίπεδο ανάγνωσης... Το συγκεκριμένο, θα το χαρίσω σίγουρα σε κάποιον μικρότερο φίλο μας...
