Dukamed knee-high stockings feature open toes and silicone, and provide graduated compression of 18–24 mmHg. They are used to help prevent thrombosis and embolism in postoperative and post-traumatic patients, people who are immobilised, during and after pregnancy, and for venous conditions.
To choose the right size, measure the circumference of the ankle and below the knee. Measure the length from the heel to just below the knee. It is recommended to put the stockings on in the morning, immediately after waking, making sure they are not creased. Hand-wash them or use the washing machine’s delicate cycle at least every two days, and air-dry or tumble-dry on a delicate setting.
