Allantoin is a chemical compound produced from glyoxylic acid and is found in most mammals, except humans and monkeys. It is produced during the oxidation process of uric acid. We find it in many botanical extracts as well as in the camphor plant, and in the urine of cattle and most mammals.

Allantoin is widely used in oral hygiene products such as toothpaste and mouthwash, as well as in cosmetic products due to its keratolytic composition, which makes it capable of softening keratin and moisturizing the skin.

Combine it with a neutral cream base to thicken it at the end, after you have added all the other ingredients you desire!
