Marine Collagen PF H.H.
What is it?
Collagen is a group of fibrous proteins found in all multicellular animals, providing tensile strength to connective tissues. They are the main proteins in bones, tendons, and skin. There are 28 different types of collagen in our body. The main types are Type I, Type II, and Type III.
Type I collagen is found in the skin (in the deep dermis), nails, hair, muscles, capillaries, tendons, and bones. Type II collagen is found in the cartilage of the joints. Fibroblasts are the cells that form collagen and polysaccharides. With age, collagen and its production in the body decrease and slow down. The skin becomes thinner and is more prone to injuries and sagging.
How does it help?
Collagen is a key element for skin hydration and provides the connective tissue with mechanical properties of resistance to traction and pressure. It has a very positive effect on the skin, offering hydration, renewal, brightness, elasticity, and reduction of wrinkles.
How is it used?
It is recommended for all moisturizing, restructuring, anti-wrinkle, and protective cosmetic products in doses from 0.5-5%.
Important:
The contribution of restful sleep to skin regeneration and youthfulness is significant. Tissue reconstruction occurs during level 3 of the REM phase, when the body converts available collagen and other nutrients into new tissues. The synthesis of new collagen by the skin's fibroblasts usually occurs during nighttime sleep, from about 1:00 am to 4:00 am, and then the new collagen is used in various body functions.
