Thin heat-shrink tubing is used for cable connection insulation, for conductor repairs, for protecting the cable head from corrosion, for protecting the cable insulation from water and moisture, as well as for restoring the integrity of the cable insulation. It is a thin-walled plastic tubing that shrinks to a specific degree at temperatures above 120°C.
The material is resistant to high temperatures and UV rays.
