The origin of the Air Max Plus

The revolutionary Nike Air-Sole unit began to be used in Nike shoes in 1978. In 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 was introduced with a visible Air-Sole unit in the heel, allowing fans of the model not only to feel but also to see this groundbreaking technology. In 1998, the Air Max Plus introduced for the first time a cushioning system with "optimized" Air-Sole units at specific points of the sole, providing runners with greater stability and support. With color palettes reminiscent of sunsets and wavy design lines inspired by wind-swept coastal landscapes, this shoe gained huge popularity and evolved into a cultural phenomenon.
