The ProND EX 8 82mm filter from Hoya reduces the amount of light passing through the lens by 3 stops. When shooting video outdoors, you can adjust shutter speeds to match the frame rate while maintaining the desired depth of field. When shooting moving subjects, you can achieve motion blur that makes the image look more cinematic. For photographic applications, the filter allows you to use longer exposures or achieve shallow depth of field in bright sunlight.

The ProND EX 8 filter utilizes Hoya's ACCU-ND technology to prevent color shift, ensuring consistent image quality. The ACCU-ND technology ensures equal reduction of light in both the visible and IR spectrums, so you won’t notice any color changes when shooting under different outdoor conditions. The filter features 82mm threading on both ends, front and back. Additional ND filters can be placed in front, or you can attach a lens cap or another filter.
