I have had it for 3 years and have tested it in strong winds over 5 Beaufort with powerful gusts. I chose it over the Maui because its case is shorter (120cm) and can be stored more easily in the luggage compartment. The impact pole also fits inside the case (I place it upside down so it doesn't pierce the thin fabric of the case). Twice the wind took it because I hadn't screwed the impact pole in properly and the wind lifted it suddenly, causing the pole to come out of place along with the umbrella. Great, lightweight umbrella but no resistance to wind. On the 2nd day of use, the ribs broke because it has no flexibility at all. I believe that the company that manufactures them should honestly state that it is not suitable for wind. Let's not throw away our 50 euros like that.
Μεγάλη, ελαφριά ομπρέλα αλλά καμία αντοχή στον αέρα. Την 2η μέρα χρήσης έσπασαν οι ακτίνες της γιατί δεν έχει καθόλου ευλυγισία. Θεωρώ πως η εταιρεία που τις κατασκευάζει θα ήταν τίμιο να αναφέρει ότι δεν ενδείκνυται για αέρα. Να μην πετάμε κι εμείς τα 50ευρα έτσι.
I got it two months ago. While it offers excellent shade and is incredibly lightweight and therefore easy to transport, after 2 summers this year the umbrella fell apart as it disintegrated in a gust of wind, even though it was secured with perimeter ropes. It really became a wreck while all the neighboring ones from another well-known brand suffered no damage.
