Excellent for its price... one negative is that it has a different app on the phone compared to older tp-link products without the addition of tapo products, resulting in having different apps on the phone, and no, the old camera cannot be added to the new app.

In case it disconnects and the camera cannot reconnect even though the router is working, then the router needs to be restarted and when you are far away it is not possible to do this. I solved the problem by placing a timer on the power supply of the camera and the router, which I have set to turn off every day for half an hour. This way the router restarts and the camera connects normally.

I have had it for over 3 months and it works perfectly! I bought it because of its ability to send notifications to the app when it detects movement, either in light or in darkness. Also useful is the alarm that is activated simultaneously through its speaker (if you want) when it detects movement. For the €20 I bought it for, it is definitely worth it!

after 2 and a half years it stopped working.. my initial opinion was positive. an average image quality and poor sound quality. in face and motion recognition also average. it didn't send the notification immediately but after 2-3 seconds. you don't expect much from a 20€ camera but still, I didn't expect it to break down in such a short period.

I bought 2 cameras 6 months ago. After 1.5 months, one of the two started losing the memory card, and after a restart it would find it again and tell me it needed formatting. Eventually, at some point, it lost the card completely. In a search I did, I saw that some cards have problems, so I chose to replace it with one from another company. So I’m writing this here to help other users who might face the same problem! The card I had was the Patriot EP Series. The one I put in and has been working perfectly for 2 months now (with continuous recording) is the Sandisk High Endurance. So keep in mind to get a good memory card, the one I mentioned or even the Sandisk Max Endurance. Other than that, the camera is very good for its price and works flawlessly without disconnections, it is VFM (value for money)

Update 4/7/2026: it loses the wifi connection very often, I keep unplugging it all the time but it doesn't seem to fix itself, I will remove another star because for one year of operation this is not justified.

For the money I paid for it, it's okay (20€). However, it is not as advanced as others on the market. Any movement it detects, it stores as human movement; it cannot distinguish whether it is a pet or a human like other brands do (see Imou), where you have the option not to record when it detects the pet in the area, but to record only human movement. Also, in the 10 days I have had it in operation, it got stuck once and was not sending a signal to the phone, and I had to unplug it from the outlet to restart it and get it working properly again. In general, I would not buy it again. TP Link products may be worth it because it has a wide range (cameras, smart bulbs, etc.) and you can combine them easily with each other for full home automation control.

We bought it for the dog and now we use it for both the child and the dog. For 3 years it has been doing its job perfectly, with home internet or from a mobile hotspot.

Value for money. Honest camera with clear image both in light and in darkness. Average sound but ok, it does its job. The alarm is nothing special, it doesn't have a strong volume but no one will buy this camera for the alarm. Finally, the app is simple and user-friendly.
Note: I have been using the camera for about a month and I have bought a second one, if there is anything noteworthy I will update.

The resolution is not that great... it's good for seeing if someone entered the house. In general, the image takes a while to appear on the phone. It's not suitable for large spaces because, for example, at night the infrared it emits is not enough to provide a good image.

I have had two for a year now. They work perfectly with resolutions up to 1080. For the price, it's worth it.
