Maria Tapaktsoglou-Mpouli

She was born, raised, studied, got married, and became a mother of three children, Dimitris, Elena, and Christos, in the magical city of Thessaloniki.

She engaged in commerce and businesses. For years, she was the Public Relations manager at the "House of Europe," organizing International Conferences and related events.

However, she got lost and set aside her true nature, poetry, which from a young age was for her something like a personal diary, a confession of the soul. There she would rest her dreams, her anxieties, her metaphysical concerns.

At some point, at a significant turning point in her life, she decided to break the silence and proceeded in 2016 to publish her first poetry collection "Nostalgists of Eden," which received excellent reviews. In 2017, she released the collection "Dream Trackers," which she dedicated to the children of the world, because she believes they will trace new paths.

In December 2018, she published her poetry collection "Rain of Perseids," and in 2021, her fourth poetry collection "Nine Passages."

She is a regular member of the National Society of Greek Literature and the Society of Greek Writers. In the Great Encyclopedia of Modern Greek Literature by Charis Patsis published in 2017, 2019, and 2022, her poems and reviews by prominent literary figures about her poetry were published.

Her poetry collections are in the university library of Sydney in the Department of Modern Greek and Byzantine Studies, and her poems were set to music by composer Dimitris Themeli and Konstantinos Garipis.

She continues her intellectual journey with the publication of her fifth poetry collection titled "Life is just a breath away."
