    Very good set, quite powerful with nice bass. With a Pioneer MVH-X580BT 4x50w, they play great and quite loud and crystal clear, but not at 100% of their potential. An extra amplifier was added and the speakers showed a different character, always for the better. One extra piece of information that will help: The model number and the pages state that the woofers are 17cm (6.7"), but they are not. They are exactly 16.5cm (6.5"), just as the manufacturer's datasheet says. I highly recommend them for cases where the depth of the magnet is a problem in the installation, as they have only 45mm depth compared to many other market speakers that have 55-65mm and do not fit easily in all cars like my Punto MK2.

    With a good aftermarket source, they play exceptionally well without an amplifier due to their high sensitivity. Don't expect much bass because they simply don't produce low frequencies (they are not intended for frequencies below 60-70 Hz, for which a subwoofer is needed).
    Personally, I plan to add an amplifier later because it seems that the speakers still have more intensity to give, but they perform very well with just the source.
    If you are relatively satisfied with the stock system and are just looking for perfection, you won't gain anything without an amplifier.
    On the other hand, if your car has any coaxial speakers, then yes, you will notice a huge difference.
