I bought the Coban 408 4G for use on a motorcycle and after several days of testing I encountered a serious problem with false shock alarm notifications.
I did a full reset of the device, reset the APN, admin number, time, and all basic parameters. The Shock Alarm works normally when the vehicle is actually moved, but it continues to send notifications without any apparent reason.
To rule out the possibility of external vibrations, I simultaneously installed a second GPS tracker (TKSTAR TK905B) on the same motorcycle. Within just 24 hours, the Coban 408 sent at least 6 Shock Alarm notifications, while the TKSTAR next to it did not send any.
It was tested both before and after the reset, with different sensitivity settings, without any substantial improvement. For this reason, I consider it likely that there is an issue with the sensor, firmware, or generally with this specific device.
Otherwise, GPS reception and communication via the app work correctly. The review concerns exclusively the problem of repeated false shock alarm notifications.

Important: Pay close attention to charging it - You should not charge it with fast chargers, neither car nor wall chargers. It states up to 2A. So you must necessarily find an old mobile phone charger and check the current it provides. The charging cable is USB-A on one end and the device has the older USB-B type (the one with the "teeth") that older generation mobile phones had before type-c. This device, apart from having a relay for connection to the car battery, I would not recommend tampering with anything in your car. It has a large battery, which is a big plus. The device WORKS while charging, something not all do, and this is important for its operation and maintaining power while you drive. You can thus keep it permanently charging by running a cable in the car and it will charge while your car is running. For the car, also find a cheap, old-type charger with a female USB-A output that is 1-2A maximum. It charges even with 1A. The boards of these Chinese GPS devices are sensitive and do not have the power management circuits that new phones have to accept fast charging from fast chargers. So, be very careful when charging. Otherwise, setup is very easy and it takes a nano-sim card. For me, it works just fine, although its app looks a bit outdated. However, if you check the web version, it has many extras, movement statistics, travel history, etc., and the device can support fleet management, e.g., a company with buses, and within your account you can monitor more than one vehicle. It also has Bluetooth, which is important for sending commands from the mobile app without needing to send SMS to the GPS sim at all. You will set it to be sensitive so that when your vehicle starts, it changes state from still mode.

Οπότε μεγάλη προσοχή στην φόρτιση. Κατά τα άλλα πολύ εύκολα γίνεται το σετάρισμα και παίρνει κάρτα nano-sim. Εμένα μια χαρά δουλεύει, αν και η εφαρμογή του δείχνει λίγο απαρχαιωμένη. Αν κοιτάξετε όμως και στην έκδοση web έχει πολλά εξτρά, στατιστικά κίνησης, ιστορικό που πήγες κ.α και η συσκευή μπορεί να υποστηρίξει διαχείριση στόλων π.χ εταιρεία με πούλμαν και εντός του λογαριασμού σου να παρακολουθείς περισσότερα από ένα οχήματα. Επίσης έχει Bluetooth, σημαντικό για την αποστολή των εντολών από το APP του κινητού χωρίς να χρειάζεται καθόλου αποστολή SMS στο sim του GPS. Θα το σετάρετε να έχει ευαισθησία ώστε όταν ξεκινάει το όχημα σας να αλλάζει state από το still mode.
