Applies only to forward-facing vehicle seats with a three-point adult seat belt. Use on vehicle seats equipped with active airbags is prohibited.
The safety system is provided by the vehicle's seat belts. They must not be twisted and should be adjusted according to the child and maneuvered to allow the child to move easily in and out of the vehicle. The belt should be worn so that it secures the child's pelvis. The car seat is equipped with an ISOFIX attachment system.
It is approved according to UN Regulation No. 129.
Why is R129 safer?
- It provides better protection for the child's head, neck, and spine because the seats undergo additional tests for frontal impact (speed 50 km/h), side impact (speed 24 km/h), and rear impact (speed 30 km/h).
- It uses high-tech, high-performance Q-type mannequins with extremely accurate and sensitive sensors, specifically designed to simulate the fragility of a newborn's body. The sensors are located in critical areas: head, neck, chest, pelvis.
