Echinacea Tincture 50ml
The tincture is created by soaking an herb in an alcoholic solution for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herb dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture. Tinctures are much more potent than extracts and infusions. Echinacea tincture (Echinacea purpurea) contains the same active ingredients as the dried Echinacea herb.
The use of Echinacea is particularly widespread in modern herbal medicine. It is mainly used to invigorate the body and boost the immune system. Clinical studies show that the use of Echinacea has the property of increasing the number of white blood cells in the blood. White blood cells are the body's main "defense" against pathogenic particles.
The beneficial action of Echinacea is due to a combination of ingredients contained in the plant. Recent data shows that polysaccharides are largely responsible for activating the immune system. Polysaccharides are highly concentrated in the aerial parts of the plant and not in the root.
In Germany, only the aerial parts of Echinacea purpurea are approved for the treatment of colds. Tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herb, are easy to take, and are completely natural. They do not contain chemicals and preservatives, and thus are absorbed much more effectively by the body.
The usual dosage is 1ml (about 20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
