Ricochet Robots is less of a game and more of a puzzle, which explains why there are so many possible solutions. There is a four-piece modular board that forms a large space with walls around the surface. There are also colored targets on the boards. Placed on the surface are four robots. The idea for each round/puzzle is to move the robot of the same color to a randomly selected target. The trick is that once a robot starts moving, it will continue to move until it is stopped by a wall or another robot. Thus, players search for a sequence of moves for the robots that will allow them to transfer the required robot to the target with the fewest moves.
