The DPZ-317 True RMS voltage detector is designed to provide safety for electric motors powered by a three-phase network. It features an adjustable voltage difference activation threshold and a 1 x NO/NC contact.
The detector activates in the event of a voltage loss in at least one phase or when a voltage difference between the phases is detected, thereby preventing potential damage to the motor. It also checks the phase sequence, avoiding reversal of the motor's rotational direction.
A voltage loss in any phase or a voltage difference exceeding the activated threshold will cause the motor to shut down. The disconnection occurs with a 4-second delay to prevent accidental disconnection of the motor in case of a brief voltage drop.
Automatic reconnection will occur when the voltage rises by 5 V above the activation voltage. In case of abnormalities, starting the motor will not be possible. If the phase sequence changes and an undesired direction change occurs, the detector will prevent the motor from starting until the correct phase sequence is restored.
