Italeri: 1/72 Fiat G55 Centauro
The Fiat G.55 Centauro was one of the best fighters produced by the Italian Air Force during World War II. The new aircraft immediately demonstrated its capabilities during evaluation tests in 1942 and proved to be superior to competitive designs (Macchi 205 and RE 2005). The Centauro entered service in 1943 but was produced in only a few dozen units. These aircraft, however, performed very well compared to allied fighters.
