Drip-Assist was created by Hario in collaboration with Pete Licata, the 2013 world barista champion. The shape of the aid resembles showerheads used in filter coffee machines. Its function is to evenly distribute water over the surface of the ground coffee, allowing for better control during the brewing process and increasing the consistency of the results.
