The Omnigena OMIS 32-80/180 recirculation pump is used for hot water circulation in both closed and open systems. The pump has 3 speed levels.
The pumped liquid must be clean, free of solid contaminants or oils, non-viscous, chemically neutral, and similar to water properties (maximum 30% glycol).
The hot water circulation pump from Omnigena is designed to reduce the circulation time of hot water. This way, we can use the shower without waiting long for the hot water to arrive. The circulation pump can be used in both closed water supply systems and open systems.
The main advantage of using such pumps is that they help achieve much higher energy efficiency. By reducing waiting time, energy consumption is decreased, leading to lower associated costs. The pump is useful both when using water extracted by hydrant and when using water from the national water supply system.
The pump quickly replaces cold water in the pipes with hot water, so we benefit from hot water for showering, bathing, or dishwashing much faster. It's quite unpleasant to wait several seconds or even minutes for hot water to arrive, especially when we're in a hurry. By using the circulation pump, we eliminate this inconvenience, which especially occurs when using automatic water heaters for domestic hot water production or central heating systems with water heating functions for domestic use.
The pump contributes to increasing the efficiency of the boiler, heating system, or automatic water heater. If hot water preparation takes too long, it means excessive energy is being used and the cold water in the pipes will be wasted. This way, we consume more resources and pay more on bills. The circulation pump will reduce the hot water preparation time, which creates increased comfort and helps save money.
We will benefit from hot water constantly, without waiting time, saving money and resources. All with the help of the hot water circulation pump.
The pump should be installed as follows:
- The pump is installed with the motor shaft in a horizontal position.
- Before pump installation, a sediment filter must be installed to protect the device from contamination.
- The required water flow must be according to the arrow indicated on the pump body.
- It must always be mounted in a horizontal position. Placing the pump in another position will lead to premature wear of the bearing and pump block.
- The space where the pump will be installed must be covered and free of moisture.
- The pump must be installed in an easily accessible location for maintenance and ventilation.
Maintenance and operation:
- The device requires only an inspection during startup or after prolonged shutdown (e.g., before the start of the heating period).
- After a long shutdown or before the first installation, check that the motor shaft is not blocked.
This should be done as follows:
Open the drain valve, in the resulting hole will be the visible end of the rotor with a cross-section. Using a flat screwdriver, rotate the shaft in the direction indicated on the pump body. After performing these procedures, tighten the screw of the air hole and start the pump at the highest speed (third). The complete installation and maintenance procedure for the pump is in the manual delivered with the device.
