It's not cheap plastic, as they say, which is important for turntables to avoid 'skipping' or strange noises. The built-in speakers aren't anything amazing, they do their job but by connecting your own speakers, the quality increases incredibly. Overall, I recommend it, it's reliable and perfect for someone who wants to try the hobby without spending a fortune.
