Many photographers believe that the 40mm focal length is ideal for all kinds of photography, as it offers a perfectly natural perspective and a very useful field of view. It is a very successful construction, appreciated by many photographers for its high sharpness, good plasticity, and very beautiful, gentle vignetting at f/1.4. In this case, the vignetting is considered more of an effect than a weakness of the optics, as it naturally focuses attention within the frame, and if it needs to be removed, it is enough to slightly close the aperture.
