The high-carbon tool steel blades are polished and ungrooved, with side bevels, and two-thirds of their length is hardened. The wooden handles are reinforced with a striking ring and a metal ferrule.

The chisels are stored in a brown leather roll case with leather blade guards, a fastening strap and three closure positions.
