The Lindy 300m/1000m Fiber Optic HDMI and IR Extender is a powerful solution for extending 4K 60 Hz Ultra HD transmissions over incredible distances, which are not possible with traditional copper-based systems, using a single simple LC simplex fiber optic cable.

HDMI specification support allows the transmission of highly detailed 4K Ultra HD resolutions, using smart compression methods that decompress the signal at the receiver for a visually lossless image. Support for High-Dynamic Range is also provided, allowing video viewing with increased brightness, greater contrasts, and a much wider color gamut, ideal for creating impressive digital signage in stores, imposing home installations, or upgrading distribution in sports venues to new iconic levels.

HDCP 2.2 compatibility means that protected 4K content, including movies and TV shows, can be displayed without issues. Unlike using copper extension systems, the use of fiber optic cables ensures immunity to RF and EMI, providing a stable signal in "noisy" commercial or industrial environments that may have high electronic interference.

With the ability to extend signals up to 1000 m, the extender provides great installation flexibility. The transmitter can be easily connected to a variety of HDMI source devices, such as Blu-Ray players, 4K HDR media players, or computers in a convenient location, while the receiver can be placed in a suitable viewing area along with a 4K display or projector. With bi-directional IR capabilities and RS-232 ports, the extender provides the ability for seamless control of the source equipment from the display side, while the display can also be controlled from the HDMI source device, offering simple and flexible control over the installation for the user. RS-232 support allows for the extension of control signals as part of a larger installation.
