The Yongnuo Macro Ring Lite YN-14 EXII is a ring light that operates on the Canon Speedlight E-TTL/E-TTL II system. The lamp is intended for macro photography and can also be used in portrait and product photography. It is compatible with lenses with 52mm, 58mm, 67mm, and 72mm threads.
The lamp supports all functions of the E-TTL II system and the autofocus system. It features a large LCD screen with backlight for easy adjustment. The flash head is split into two sections, and the power of the flash can be adjusted independently for each half from 1/1 to 1/16.
It also supports two LED light diodes that allow for lighting the photographed scene and enhancing autofocus functionality. Current settings are stored and available after rebooting.
The control unit attaches in a standard way using a hot shoe and has a lock to prevent accidental slipping. Power is supplied by 4 AA batteries or rechargeable batteries or via an external power outlet.
The YN-14EXII includes a PC socket for triggering the lamp behind the camera.
