Air-drying clay is a ready-to-use plastic mass for immediate use. It dries spontaneously under the influence of air without the need for firing. You can use it to make various types of figures, jugs, etc., which after drying behave as if they have been fired in an oven.
The dried clay can be:
- sanded
- processed with sandpaper
- cut
- drilled
- painted
- varnished
After opening, the unused portion of the clay should be tightly sealed in a plastic bag. During modeling, it can be softened by adding small amounts of water. Elements thicker than 2 cm may crack during drying. The drying time is approximately 24 hours, depending on the thickness, at room temperature.
