Description

Master Box Ltd.: Pin-up series, Kit No.5 Patty in scale 1:24

The term "Pin-Up Girls" originates from a trend that became clearly evident in the 1940s and 1950s in the United States. It refers to posters that men from various social classes, such as workers and soldiers, would hang, featuring specially dressed and made-up women with a clear erotic undertone. Although these posters were erotic, they were not treated as pornography, which was prohibited in the USA at that time.

These "Poster Women," or Pin-Up Girls, were always smiling, wearing either loose dresses, very tight-fitting underwear, or swimsuits. They were often depicted wearing high-waisted shorts, with their outfits revealing as much of the models' bodies as possible. Many official photos of Marilyn Monroe are maintained in this style.
