Has anyone used this product with a down rod? Our ceiling is about 4 meters (12/13 feet) and will likely need to extend the fan.

I placed it on a similarly height (3.8m) without a rod. It is sufficiently powerful, at max speed dust collects on the floor at a ring about 6 meters in diameter. Even at low speed I can feel the breeze sitting under it a bit further from the edge of the blade.
