    The nylon is very thin... it should have been twice as thick, it definitely has half the thickness of the tablecloth (also transparent nylon) that I was trying to replace, but I had it for years and I don't remember where I got it or what brand it is...

    I don't know if this one will last as long, I have my doubts, and it's also so thin that it might melt if you put something hot on it, like the crepe maker I have on the table and used to put on the old, thicker nylon, which would get warm but was thick enough not to melt... or a hot soup plate, etc... my old one had no problem with these, even a frying pan (not immediately, but still quite hot) after the fire it could handle it...

    But this one, because it's very thin, even with just hot plates it might have an issue... if I don't come back to change my review it might mean it hasn't broken/torn yet, but even so, even if it doesn't break, it's unreasonably thin...

    I unfolded it very slowly and carefully just so I wouldn't tear it because the surfaces were sticking together (understandable, especially in the summer, but because it was so thin I was afraid to use force or to pull them apart quickly in case it tore and got ruined!)

    It's 0.1 millimeters thick, I measured it with a digital gauge, my old one was 0.4...
