The Volcano V2 adapter made of brass alloy is specially designed for use with Bondtech's CHT nozzle, improving the flow performance of a Volcano hotend with a V6 nozzle. It is compatible with all other standard-length V6 nozzles.

The lead-free and cadmium-free adapter is designed for temperatures up to 300°C max and is suitable for all types of materials, including abrasive materials such as CF, wood, and glow-in-the-dark filaments.

Tip: The adapter is more challenging to clean than a standard nozzle. It is recommended to consider cold pulling if you are frequently switching materials and colors.

Warning! The temperature of the hotend should not exceed 240°C when tightening the adapter, as this may cause a loss of strength and breakage of the material.

Installing the adapter on a Volcano hotend

• Required tools:
• 2 mm hex wrench (do not use a Ball End hex wrench!)
• Pliers for a firm grip on the heater block.

Installation steps:

1. Heat the hotend (do not exceed 240°C!).
2. Remove the Volcano nozzle.
3. Attach the adapter to the included 2.0 mm hex wrench. Make sure it fits perfectly.
4. Secure the heating block with pliers and carefully screw the adapter into the heating block from underneath, taking care not to strip the hex.
5. Tighten the adapter with a torque of about 0.5-1.0 Nm.
6. Install a standard length V6 nozzle as usual.

Remember to leave a small gap between the nozzle and the heater block to ensure that you have tightened the nozzle to the adapter.
