The jaws are made from high-quality chromium-molybdenum steel (Cr-Mo), subjected to professional heat treatment - hardened and then subjected to an annealing process, which eliminates the stresses created during the hardening process. This makes the jaws much less prone to breakage.

The Cr-Mo steel, compared to the commonly used CrV tool steel, improves significantly the hardening capability, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance due to its molybdenum content.
