The sadistic organization that implanted Wolverine's adamantium skeleton has returned! It all begins with a series of disturbing dreams, but Logan's nightmares soon become reality. Having been imprisoned and accused of murdering a senator, Wolverine is "rescued" by the revived Weapon X program - but what is really happening? Which other figures from Wolverine's past are targeted for violent recruitment? And what is the disturbing secret of the new Director of Weapon X?

Additionally: Wolverine faces Mr. X, a martial arts master with a fear of death and an obsession to become "the best there is"; he fights in a bloody tournament in Madripoor featuring some of the most dangerous fighters in the Marvel Universe; and he confronts the threats of Bloodscream, Mauvais, Wendigo — and his former immortal mentor Ogun! Alpha Flight and Beast also make appearances!
