Silmat Color develops a high degree of adhesion with most materials, ensuring the integrity and waterproofing of surfaces that undergo deformation.

Fields of application: Flexible and watertight sealing of expansion and contraction joints and joints in:

• Granite tiles, ceramic tiles, clinker, glass mosaics, and ceramic chips.
• Sanitary ware, shower trays.
• Glass panes and frames made of metal and wood.
• Prefabricated concrete panels, exposed concrete.
• Marbles and natural stones.
• Bricks.
• Concrete screeds and cement or lime mortars.
• Joints in floors subjected to moderate to high traffic.

Intended use: In interior and exterior spaces, even in areas exposed to frost, in partition joints, expansion and contraction joints, and joints in balconies, terraces, facades, bathrooms, shower trays, and window frames. Suitable even on wet substrates.

Do not use on rubber, plastic, or asphalt materials that exude oils, solvents, or plasticizers, for making joints subjected to high friction. Do not use for making joints in swimming pools.

Do not use in completely enclosed spaces, as the product cures with atmospheric moisture. The material should be applied within 5 minutes of application to ensure good contact between the sealant and the substrate.

Priming is generally not required. For specific substrates, the use of a bonding primer may be necessary to achieve maximum adhesion.

Silmat Color can be painted. If it is to be painted, the sealant must be fully cured. It is recommended to use elastomeric paint.

Storage: Approximately 12 months from production in the original closed packaging.

Warnings: Product for professional use. Follow any regulations and local legislation in force. Work at temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C. Do not use in completely enclosed spaces.
