As soon as Livio finished his presentation, I felt humiliated listening to him speak, as if nothing was happening, about Magnus Hirschfeld's struggle to abolish paragraph 175 of the German Penal Code, which punished homosexuality. To speak in front of me, who was in love with him and everyone knew it. And let me add that they considered me Livio's little girlfriend, so you understand. I was overcome with a tremor. As time passed and to the extent that I understood, everything around me began to spin backward, and suddenly I saw it all again before my eyes. It was the strangest experience of my adolescence.
