These wonderful pieces of equipment can be used as both cams and nuts, and they often work where nothing else fits. Tricams are ideal for horizontal cracks, pockets, and shallow vertical fissures. The larger sizes are an affordable way to add cams to your rack and are perfect for belay anchors due to their high strength and lightweight. Tricams can also be placed in frozen cracks where regular cams do not function.
